Hello and welcome to Style for a Happy Home! I’m Dannielle and I’m a former web designer, constant dreamer and sometimes crazy adventurer.
I’m on a mission to help people bring happiness and fun back into their homes with a dash of organisation and a sprinkle of their own awesome style and Style for a Happy Home is where I share that with you.
A happy home, to me is: a space for laughter, has room for you to move and is a place for you to just be. It’s a space to make memories and noise. It’s filled with the things and people you love and gives you that sigh of relief when you step through your front door. It’s not about picture perfect but about happy imperfections that make you feel like you’re right where you’re meant to be.
This blog is about the little things we can do to make our homes and lives feel happier every day. It’s about you and me carving out our little space in the universe that doesn’t cost the earth and isn’t totally unrealistic or unachievable. It’s all about being practical and fun when it comes to our happy homes.
It’s about embracing what you love and putting it on display and not hiding it away because it’s not ‘on trend’. Above all else, Style for a Happy Home is about creating a space where laughter reigns and mess is allowed, because both are signs of a life that’s being lived.
People often ask about what the ‘style’ in Style for a Happy Home means. To me it’s not just the look of your home but about how you infuse your personality into your home. It’s like a parenting style or the way you dress. It’s how we make our homes shine with the things that make us who we are.
This is your thrice weekly (Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays) burst of inspiration, thoughts and ideas on how you can create a place you want to be in and a life that you love.
