Kambrook FabriGuard One Temperature Iron Review (Giveaway – Closed)

By Dannielle on December 8, 2015

*This is a review of the Kambrook FabriGuard One Temperature Iron.

A few weeks back I was at a Bloggers Brunch and I came across the Kambrook table. The first thing that caught my eye was their new iron. That’s seems a little weird, even for me, but the fact that it doesn’t require you to spend time playing with temperature settings intrigued me. Ironing isn’t always the most fun task, but having something that makes it easier and quicker to get the job done was worth having a look at.

After chatting with the lovely ladies at the Kambrook table I was able to take one home to test out. I’ve often found myself frustrated with irons as I seem to spend forever trying to get the heat setting just right and I end up ironing my craft projects for much longer than I’d like. I have always wanted one where the wrinkles start to come out as soon as you start ironing and one that doesn’t add more wrinkles as you go.

The FabriGuard surprised me when it did just that. As it’s one temperature, you simply set the steam level to the fabric type (the handy instruction manual tells you what level for which fabric and even shows the label code to match it to), and with water in it you can start ironing as soon as the red light switches off – which isn’t long at all. Weirdly, I was enjoying testing it out so much that I started ironing things I wouldn’t usually, like pillow slips, because it was so fast and easy to use.

The one thing I need to remember before plugging it in, is to add the water as it needs to be filled with the soleplate on a flat surface. It’s not too tricky and the water doesn’t seem to spill when using the water cup that comes with it. I’ve used it on different fabrics and I’ve found that it lives up to it’s “no burn” statement. I’ve even used it with baking paper when heat sealing screen printing fabric.

I also love the colours they use on it. I know that shouldn’t really matter as it’s an iron, but the gold, white and grey look great – which is always a bonus. Ironing isn’t my favourite task, but having this iron means that I don’t put it off so long and I know that I’m going to get it done faster than before. Win!

The Kambrook FabriGuard Iron is $99.95 RRP and Kambrook have offered me on to give away to one of you lucky readers!

As a wildlife rescuer and emergency carer, and a mother of 4 children under 5, my Ironing is always a challenge!! The biggest Ironing challenge is to get close enough to the Iron to even start ironing, and whilst eventually I manage to reach the Iron, its a feat in itself to successfully iron one pair of trousers without any kind of interruption…. It without doubt involves having two sugar gliders contently nesting in my hair, a ring-tail baby sleeping contently in my jumper hood, a wombat attempting to dig into anything within a 10 foot radius, an inquisitive wallaby trying to jump into my lap, another orphan baby needing to be bottle fed (again), a little puggle baby snuggled into my shoulder sack, and attempting to mix up a concoction of milk supplement and fluids…. now that is what I call multi tasking!!!!
Ironing…. It takes quite a while….but the Kambrook FabriGuard will without doubt be my Ironing savior.. and will make Ironing soooo much easier !!!

As a mummy of 5 active little toddlers, I desperately dream of a fast and effective ironing solution,
Thankfully Kambrook has created an outstanding FabriGuard ironing craze revolution!
My laundry has clothes in abundance, but there must be a more effective wrinkle removing way,
Than spend hours upon end with my unreliable old iron, each and every single day!

Oh, oh, oh, yes please, pick me! My old iron is still faithfully working, but it is getting old (no technology in this iron!) and should probably be replaced.

What a great, innovative iron! I’m always forgetting to change the temperature setting depending on the fabric and many clothes have been ruined because of this. This would definitely solve that problem. Thanks for the chance :)

We, ok, my hub, is ironing again. We used to have an ironing lady but sadly can’t afford her.. Nor does our old iron have a safe cord (because hub has idea he can fix it?) . I would love to win him a new iron, thanks D!

My current Iron is just a cheapie; its so infuriating when it leaves brown marks on clean clothes.

I love sewing and patchwork and the work is always neater if seams are ironed as you go. Being in an all-male family I would love an iron to myself that I could dedicate to my sewing (and not have to share with work clothes)!!

Ironing is one of my least favourite housework chores, I try to buy clothes that don’t need ironing and for a couple of years I was successful. Now I’m finding that the styles I’m liking in clothes are mostly fabrics that need ironing. I gave all my irons to Vinnies so I would love to win this wonderful Kambrook Fabriguard because it sounds like it will almost do the job for me!

A “no burn” iron would be such a help in our household as it is so easy to be distracted for a minute and then find you’ve just ruined a favourite piece of clothing.

This is a good one for my husband. He does the ironing in our house!
