It was only a couple of weeks ago that I was wishing the Indian Summer away and, true to form, Melbourne has switched from Summer to Winter with barely a hint of Autumn in between. The cozy clothes are coming out of the cupboard and the summer things are being packed away, quick-smart. It’s ok though. I much prefer the chilly weather to the glaring heat.
A few weeks ago, when it still felt like summer would never end, I managed to catch one of the Boden sales and got myself a sweet puffer jacket and a long sleeve stripy top for my winter wardrobe. I got them both in the teen section (Johnnie B) and they have already become fast favourites. Stripes are like my winter uniform, so I’m planning on getting the top in all the colourways! It’s so nice! (P.S. They are having a mid-season sale this week, if you’re looking for winter stuff).
Easter has just been and gone. It’s my favourite of the holidays, because it’s so cruisey and doesn’t really get the hype or the craziness that Christmas does. There were some nice catch ups and a not-so-successful trip down the coast (where everyone else went too!). It was quiet and gave me some time out of the house for the first time in a while. Below is the awesome Easter Pavlova that my Aunt made for Easter Lunch. So delicious!
When it comes to life, I’ve just finished re-watching One Tree Hill, and even though I’ve seen all the seasons 3 times, I love picking up new things each time. This time I fell in love with the music of Wakey!Wakey! and haven’t stopped listening to the album Almost Everything I Wish I’d Said the Last Time I Saw You. The song Almost Everything is my favourite! It’s my equal favourite show (with Veronica Mars) and I love seeing them grow and change over 9 years! It’s a real blessing that the fans got 9 great years with them.
Other than that, things are quiet. I’m still not sure what’s next for me, so I’m just taking things day by day. I’m glad that this lovely cooler weather is here and I’m looking forward to watching the leaves change and seeing what comes next. I’ve made some changes to the homepage of this site, just to keep it fresh.
Hope March has been good to you. I have an awesome DIY coming up on the blog on Thursday, so be sure to look out for that.
What’s your favourite TV on DVD show? Have one to recommend to me?
