I’ve been working heaps hours the past few weeks, and whilst I’m loving my new job, it’s meant that this space has had to take a back seat. I’m still trying to find my feet with where I want to take SFAHH, but I think to give myself some grace whilst I adjust to working away from home.
Yesterday was my first chance of the year to start crafting, designing and creating. I tend to forget how much I love it and how it makes me feel more lighthearted. I don’t really have a routine right now, but I’m beginning to work one out and I’ve realised that this needs to be a priority for me. Even if it’s quick crafts that can be done in under an hour and not things that can take half a day or a weekend.
It’s amazing how great I feel just taking some time for watching some TV on DVD – I’m rewatching One Tree Hill and I’m up to Season 4 – and some time to get messy with crafts. It really is the little things that make all the difference. (Daytime is also excellent for watching the super scary episodes and having time to watch the lighthearted next episode afterwards! Is it only me who does that?!)
In milestone news, I’ve also just passed the 18 month mark of my injury recovery this week. Whilst there’s still lots more work to be done, I am glad that I’ve stuck with it and am working to make my body as strong as possible. There were some setbacks this month, but they all seem to have sorted out, so I’m back on track. Woo!
On my list for my next day off is to start my blog editorial calendar again, so I can get a little ahead and have some great stuff here ready for you each Tuesday and Thursday. I’d love to start Saturdays back up again, but I need a bit more time to think of cool ideas for it.
How’s your 2016 going so far?
